Johnny grew up as a military kid traveling around the US including 5 years in Alaska before his father’s retirement to Louisiana, where he attended Louisiana Tech University, earning a Bachelor of Architecture degree. With over 25 years of experience, he is a registered architect in multiple states, a registered Interior Designer, and is a LEED Accredited Professional (AP). He is certified by the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) and the National Council for Architectural Registration Board (NCARB).
He serves on the Executive Board of the 7x24 Exchange Atlanta Chapter and has been published in “Newslink, The Magazine of 7x24 Exchange International.” He also serves as the President on the board for the Royal 400 Property Owners Association. Johnny is involved in numerous organizations including the American Institute of Architects (AIA), 7x24 Exchange, Georgia Healthcare Association (GHAC), Technology Association of Georgia (TAG), and the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID).
Johnny is very passionate about his 8 dogs and is a volunteer for the DREAM Dachshund Rescue organization. He is very involved, with his wife Kim, in organizing the annual “Howloweenie” event, which is the largest fund raising event for the organization to pursue their vision of rescuing and rehoming more than a 150 dachshunds and dachshund mixes in the metro Atlanta area.
Johnny is an active motorcycle enthusiast and began riding at the age of six. Having a real passion for the competitive side of the sport he began racing motorcross as a teenager and progressed to full sponsorship taking him to national championship races across the southeast, including the Super Cross in Atlanta Fulton County Stadium as well as Arkansas State Champion. He has since moved from the dirt to asphalt completing his road racing certification at Road Atlanta with Kevin Schwantz a world road racing champion.
