Pieper O’Brien Herr Architects (POH) worked with the building landlord and owners to relocate a very small but well-known breakfast diner into a larger, ADA accessible building just three doors down. The design still catered to the unique vibe that Sun Dawg Café offers in vibrant colors and a homey feel. The front area offers a coffee bar and donut display case to serve the busy courthouse across the street. A reclaimed bar became the focal point in the back section of the restaurant with the lively kitchen on full display. Sun Dawg Cafe also operates their catering services out of this location as the plans allowed for a large prep room and oversized kitchen to serve both the restaurant and their thriving catering business.
